How to Join TTE?

Please read the following carefully

Step 1 - Confirm your eligibility

In order to become a consortium member, you must satisfy all of the following criteria:

  1. You must represent a nonprofit organization or a governmental agency that has a primary mission to provide specialized services relating to training, education, or adaptive reading or information access needs of blind or other persons with disabilities.
  2. You must designate a disability service provider (DSP) for your institution.  A DSP is a primary staff member that is responsible for the qualification and provision of disability related services to students with disabilities at your institution
  3. Your member institution must not already have a DSP identified.  If your institution is multi-system, a separate DSP may be identified for each physical system part as long as the above criteria are met.
  4. You must agree to abide by rules set out in the TTE Consortium Member Agreement -AND- agree to follow any subsequent procedures deemed appropriate by the TTE.

Step 2 - Obtain an agreement

Unfortunately, we cannot accept agreements over the web, so a "hard" copy must be signed by you.

Download an agreement.

The following file formats are available:

Note: You can obtain a free copy of Adobe's Acrobat Reader (reads PDF files) at http://www.adobe.com/supportservice/custsupport/download.html

Step 3 - Sign and Return your agreement

  1. The TTE agreement must be signed by someone with the legal authority to bind the consortium member institution.  A DSP at the consortium institution must be named along with contact information.  Here's a list of who signs the Consortium Member Agreement.
  2. If you downloaded the TTE agreement, please sign and return three (3) copies with original signatures.   We will sign them and return an original signed copy to you for your records.
  3. You are strongly encouraged to review the TTE agreement with your general counsel.

Mail the signed agreements to:
